Standard Playcare

$37 10 day prepaid package $333

If your days will vary each week, you are welcome to attend all day playcare at the standard rate. At playcare, your pup will enjoy playtime with friends throughout the day. Dogs determine their playtime, nap times and socialization patterns while our team monitors, encourages safe behaviors, and discourages unhealthy ones. These reservations need to be made in advance and are first come first serve. We offer a 10 day package with a 10% discount for our standard playcare.

We do sometimes have toys in our playcare groups, so please let us know if your dog has any possessive or resource guarding issues

Puppy PreSchool

A Daycare Experience Designed Just for Puppies 5 Months and Younger

Puppy Preschool is a structured daycare program created to help young puppies build strong foundations during their most important developmental stage. While this is not a formal training program, it is thoughtfully designed to guide your puppy toward good habits, confidence, and positive social skills.

Structured Playcare

All day playcare is not the right fit for every dog. Some dogs may need help self regulating and need breaks in between playtimes. This is why we have created our Structured Playcare option! Structured playcare is smaller groups and includes plenty of breaks, as well as enrichment activities to tire them out mentally.

We offer a playcare membership program in our all day playcare for those that know they want the same days each week. The rate is based upon how many days a week your dog comes. Being in the program means your days are guaranteed and there is no need to call to make reservations! 

 

Included with the Membership:

  • Playcare members will be charged every Saturday for the following week at their rate.
  • Days are locked in so no need to worry if we are full or not.
  • If your dog is boarding on their scheduled Playcare days, they will receive All Day Play on those days.

There will be no refunds for unused days

Drive-Thru Drop-Off & Pick-Up

     For your convenience, we offer drive-thru service for all Playcare drop-offs and pick-ups. When you arrive, please keep your dog in your vehicle until a staff member comes out to assist you, or have them safely secured on a leash. Our team will come directly to your car to bring your pup inside or return them to you at pick-up. This service is designed to make your visits quick, easy, and safe for both you and your dog.

What are the pick up and drop off times?

Drop off is:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 10:00 am

Pick up is:
Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm

What happens on holidays?

Closed (No pick-up or drop-offs for boarding or PLAYCARE):

  • New Year’s Day
  • Easter Sunday
  • July 4th
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Open from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon) (Boarding drop-off and pick-up only, NO PLAYCARE):

What vaccinations are required and do I need to spay/neauter my dog?

All pets visiting Leashes & Leads must provide proof of the following vaccinations: DHLPP (Distemper Combo), Rabies, and Bordetella (recommended every 6 months). While not required, we highly recommend that your dog receive a yearly influenza shot. To ensure a smooth reservation process, please provide your pet’s vaccination records before making your first reservation.

At Leashes & Leads, we prioritize the happiness and health of your dogs during their visits. To ensure this, we have a policy for our intact males and females. Intact (not spayed) females are allowed to join playgroup as long as they are not in heat. Intact males are welcome in regular playgroup until 9 months of age. After 9 months, intact males can try Structured Playcare, but if the dog shows any intact-related behavior, he will be asked not to return until he is neutered.

Is there anything I need to do before my first Playcare day?

A temperament test is mandatory for dogs who have done Playcare / Daycare before. Additionally, please ensure that you have a profile with updated immunizations.

A temperament test involves one of our staff members taking your K-9 to interact with an employee dog to assess their behavior around other dogs and in the absence of their owner. Please call (507) 282-2710 to confirm the availability of a staff dog for the test.

For the safety of all our Playcare dogs, dogs who have never been in a Playcare setting before will start with our Induction program. 

If your dog has already passed the test, simply call us at 507-282-2710 to make reservations!

How do I book excursions?

When dropping off for the day ask us to add on any additional services!

What is the Barky Bus?

Barky Bus is a great way to have your pup picked up or dropped off so you can get them the socialization they need without disrupting your day.

The Barky Bus leaves to pick up the dogs around 6:30 A.M. from your house and picks up the dogs from Playcare to bring them home around 3 P.M.

*Times vary for when they arrive depending on routes for that day and the number of dogs. The price is per trip.

Vaccination Requirements

Our intact (un-neutered) male BOARDING guests (9 months and older) are kept separate from our other guests during playtime. Don’t worry – they still get to enjoy time in our private yards, but they will not be in play groups.
