(Ages 8 weeks to 5 months)
The sooner you start your puppy in the BALANCED PUPPY TRAINING PROGRAM the better for you and your new puppy!
Even if they seem to young, shy, afraid, small or fragile you should get signed up NOW!
Puppies grow up so fast, why wait! You are missing out on valuable time for them to bond, explore, learn, socialize and develop. We are here to give owners the tools and knowledge to help you and your puppy succeed! To have a successful puppy/owner relationship both must be trained.
DID YOU KNOW: >During your puppy’s first three months of life, they will experience a socialization period that will permanently shape their future personality and how they will react to their environment as an adult dog. Gently exposing them to a wide variety of people, places, and situations now makes a huge, permanent difference in their temperament.
So many people wait. Do not wait. Get started now.
WHAT WILL THIS CLASS FOCUS ON:
•> Socialization, socialization and more socialization (with people and other puppies/dogs)
•> Introductions to new items each week (examples: umbrellas, balls, noises)
•> Introductions to new situations and different play areas
•> We will start some basic commands: sit, watch, down, place, come and walking nicely on leash.
•> You will receive handouts to take home
•> Nutrition and Food will be discussed
•> Potty Training and Crate Training education
•> Puppy behavior problems and solutions (examples: biting and barking)
REMEMBER: we are dealing with puppies that have puppy brains and puppy attention spans. In order to help your puppy be a balanced puppy we take this into consideration with all of our classes. A lot of people train to much to fast and have unrealistic expectations. Let them be puppies!
Each class depends on how the class is learning and progressing. Some classes/students will get further in the training than others. All classes are for the dog and owner to have fun. We have lots of hands on and one on one time when needed. The goal of these training classes is a happy balanced relationship.
Things to bring to class:
- Your dog (Please bring your Dog with on FIRST DAY of class!)
- Flat leash 6 ft long is best (no retractable leashes)
- Yummy treats…can be super small, soft is best for easy consumption
