A well trained dog is a happy dog. We have a state-of-the-art training facility that will meet your needs and those of your beloved animal. We offer many class options for dogs and their people at all stages...beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. If your schedule doesn't permit joining a class check out our Canine U Program.
Our trainers have experience in many different areas including dog behavior and agility to conformation and competitive obedience. They regularly attend seminars to stay updated on new training techniques and to keep their skills in tip top shape. Many of our trainers also compete in different venues and all have earned titles in their venue of interest.
As a student of Canine U, your dog gets 1:1 training and playtime while Boarding or at our Doggy Playcare facility. You will choose the skills they work on. Choose between our one week and three week packages.

All pets visiting Leashes & Leads must have proof of the following vaccinations: DHLPP (Distemper Combo), Rabies, and Bordetella (recommended every 6 months). We also highly recommend your dog receiving a yearly influenza shot, although this is not required. Please provide vaccination records at check-in or have your veterinarian fax the records to Leashes & Leads at (507) 424-1695.
We want to keep your dogs happy and healthy during their visits at Leashes & Leads! One way we accomplish this is by keeping our intact (un-neutered) male guests separate from our other guests during playtime. Don't worry – they still get to enjoy playtime in our private yards with our staff, but they will not be in play groups.
